#InsideAeromet - meet Shayan

In the first of our series looking at the people who make Aeromet great, meet Shayan Yaghoobi, who recently completed a 12-month internship with us in Sittingbourne. 

Here is what Shayan had to say about his time with Aeromet - 

Aeromet has provided me with a great opportunity as an intern to experience different areas
of the casting industry and the processes involved in order to meet the standards and criteria of our customers.

My role as an undergraduate intern has involved many challenging projects that allowed me to put into practice the practical and theoretical knowledge I have gained over the past 3 years at university.

At the start of my placement I was given tasks that allowed me to explore and learn about the casting process. This gave me vast insight into the sand casting industry, providing me with good knowledge of both technical and engineering activities.  

To have played a part in the development of components for next generation aircraft and other applications has been both rewarding and an eye opening experience into the aerospace industry.

Everyone has been really friendly and helpful throughout my time at Aeromet and I have built strong relationships with people around the company. This has aided me in successfully navigating complex challenges that I would not have been able to do on my own.

I would like to thank everyone at Aeromet for an extraordinary experience that any engineering student would dream of.
